[C320-list] Broken Stanchion - Butyl Tape

Before taking on a significant project with Butyl sealent / tape, you may 
want to take a moment to run your idea's by the folks on the C&C list.

C&C used butyl on all of their boats, and the list is a wealth of knowledge 
on that subject.

It CAN be good stuff, you need to apply it correctly, and watch how hard you 
tighten down your bolts.  It may not be the correct application for all 
projects.

I LOVE my Catalina 320, but boy do I miss my old C&C's pointing ability.  I 
swear I could sail directly into the wind with that boat....
