Mine came with a genoa track cleat. Agree, great advantage and good upgrade
even though I didn't do it.

I added the midship cleat years ago to the Genoa track. The best investment
I have ever made for the "Admiral". When we leave the slip I hang the spring
line on a hook at the end of the slip. When we return MArilyn goes forward
with the boat hook grabs the spring line walks it back the the boarding gate
and than forward to the midship cleat. Once the spring line is secure she
knows we cannot hit the dock. If there is a cross wind pushing the stern off
the dock I just put the boat in forward gear and turn the rudder to turn
away from the slip. The stern moves up the the dock and a stern line is
attached. Boat secure.

Has anyone added midships cleats to their boat and if so, how?
