[C320-list] Perkins Raw Water Pump

If you can I would do both. Order and install a new pump and then order the
rebuild kit and do the work yourself. If you have a vise and a socket set
it is not that hard to press out the shaft, berrings and seals. Then clean
up the inside of the pump the best you can removing any scores, press in the
new parts with your vice and sockets, oil it all up and put it in a zip lock
bag as a spare.

Irv,

My boatyard is also recommending replacement. If they change the seals, they
often find a scored shaft. Then you are in for another expensive part, a
delay while they order and receive the part, and a very big labor bill. You
could easily end up with a rebuilt pump costing nearly the same as new. To
just pull the pump and replace with a new one is a minimal labor charge.

Now I'm on the quest to find a reasonably priced new pump.
