Below is the reply that I got from Rock-N-Rescue.
Draw your own conclusions but I would suggest getting a larger webbing
rather than try to economise, if there will be prolonged UV exposure.

I was not thinking about colors fading but rather the material strength
degrading because of UV exposure.

Does the nylon webbing and tubing that would be used on a boat for jacklines
have Ultra Violet protection against deterioration built in?
I expect certain colors may have more intrinsic protection.
