That's one way of describing it.

If you mean the stuff that's like "sand paint" kind of nonskid, I don't know.

How does this stuff work with the newer non-skid surfaces that are random
bumps?  Topside cleaning is coming up soon.  Thanks in advance. Barb Uhlman

surfaces We used this and found that it helps. You may find that it works better
if you start with a deck that has been wet for several hours. Short of rain or a
hose to keep it wet, try starting early in the morning with a deck wet from dew.
If you have a pressure washer this does a remarkably easy job of cleaning the
nonskid. Then the teflon wax thing makes it clean easier in the future. Stay
away from all thru-deck fittings and stick to the nonskid areas and don't over
do it is my suggestion. -jeff Amirault Family - S&B <amiraults at sympatico.ca>

luck it will be applied Monday - tomorrow is remove anti freeze from
bilge/pumps, reefer/shower sump and fresh water system as well as apply bottom
paint. Have you found that a single use will leave the deck easier to wash down
(without another application) for 6 months. That would be great as it is the
length of the sail season here. Brian Amirault 797 Waltzing Bear, too
