Guys
About 4 years ago I had to have my value replaced and tank inspected. I think both cost about $30 at a place on Route 2 just south of Annapolis, hey also fill tanks. I think it is Anna Arundel Gas. 3177 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037
Phone: 410-956-2400 (Alternate)
They told me that tanks have to be inspected ever couple of years.

I wonder if your propane tank concern is a local or state code question. My
tank was over 15 years old when I last filled it. If you have not updated
the valve to the new standard, that could be a contributing variable.

Over the weekend I took our propane tank to get filled. The man at the ACE
hardware store said the date - 1998 - was older than 12 years and after
12
years a tank had to be recertified or replaced. When I called about having
it recertified I was told it would probably be cheaper to replace it. So
I'm curious , has anyone else run into this and, if so, what did you do?
If
you purchased a replacement, where did you find the small tank?
