[C320-list] Obsolete propane tank

Bruce,
My experience with my 1995 model was that the propane tank does need
to have a hydrostatic test every 12 years and is most definitely worth
the cost. The OPD valve will need to be installed if it does not have
the triangular handle, which will allow you to get it refilled
anywhere. The new valve has to be ordered/installed by a licensed
Propane dealer. http://choosepropane.org/test/kyperc/opdvalvebrochure.pdf

From the information on the tank, I worked with the manufacturer to get
the right valve ordered for the tank, and had to have it sent to my
local propane dealer. They would not send it to me. You need to use a
propane service dealer, like Hicks Gas or a welding supply company, not
a filler like ACE or U Haul. Hicks did the install and the hydro test.
The price was not that bad. I thought I had the receipts here but they
must be on board so I can't give you good numbers. If you have access
to a dealer in a marine area, your experience may be much easier. I
used a dealer in central Illinois, where a tank like ours is very unusual.

I hope this helps.
