Interesting article in last month's SAIL on Stan Honey. He invented the first
down graphic software now seen on almost all football games. Stan laid out the
graphic software for this AC series.
I learned to sail on a Hobie 16. There is nothing to compare to gliding over
the water, hanging out off a wire, while flying a hull. Fantastic to see the
big boys do it in big-boy toys !

Awesome footage, thank you very much! Great marriage of fantastic boats and
technology. Hopefully will help attract a new generation into sailing. Having
raced catamarans since the early 80s it's great to see the world coming around
to my point of view ;-)
The only thing about this Cup circuit that just does not feel right is the free
agency. The Cup really should get back to national teams. Team Korea here? Team
China? Please. Not a national member on either team. The skipper for Team China
is one of our American "beach cat" heroes, who sailed the Tornado in the last 4
Olympics and brought home the silver in Athens.
Here's for less mercenary, more national pride.
But you can't beat the footage!
