Since this thread has "evolved", I will throw in my tips for Annapolis.
I stayed there a few weeks ago right in "ego alley". The slips there are
controlled by the harbormaster and they are first come first serve. The
price per foot is $2.25, plus a surcharge for 30 amp service. I think
the overnight tab came to ~$80.00 for my C320. They do have shower
facilities if you wish. If you really want to get one of those slips,
here is what you need to do, especially on weekends. They fill up fast!

Overnight slips need to be vacated by noon the next day. If you really
want one, you need to be there circling the harbor by 11:00 AM. If you
see one open, grab it before someone else does. Slips 4 thru 13 are only
12 feet wide, which is a tight squeeze in your 320. Slips 14 thru 20 are
16 feet wide. Much easier to negotiate and worth trying to get one.

Usually the harbormaster will have people down there at check-in time to
collect the fees, but if not, you'll need to stroll over to the 2nd
story of the harbormaster building and pay. If you have a dinghy and
don't mind shuttling to shore, the moorings are an excellent option at
$30. You will have no problem leaving your dinghy moored at the landing
all the way in the end of ego alley while you're ashore. Everyone does it.

Note well that there are anchoring restrictions in Spa Creek. Consult
your charts. You must use a mooring buoy in this area.

Last, if you find yourself at a mooring and have no dinghy, you can hail
the water taxi on VHF 68 or phone 410-263-0033. I think a taxi ride
starts at $2 per person depending on how far you need to ride. They will
pick up and drop off at numerous places around Spa Creek, in case you
are not going into the ego alley area directly.

There are also numerous marinas in Spa Creek that may offer transient
slips. Too many to list here. Do some web research if you can... You may
also use the water taxi to pick you up at various marinas around
Annapolis if you'd like. It will save you some walking.

Hope this helps...
