[C320-list] Membership Lists, Website & System Updates

Hello Fellow C320 Sailors,

Warren Updike, skipper of "Warr De Mar" noted that the "membership status" on the Catalina320.com website may be inaccurate for some members.

As our co-webmaster Jeff Hare noted, he and Marshall Lucas are reworking the membership system on the website, so this will not be synchronized for a few more weeks.

Jeff and Marshall have already implemented a series of updates to the website, but most of these affect back-end systems, so they are not readily visible to all of you. However, these updates now enable our webmasters to begin implementing a series of updates that will make joining and renewing much easier, and much more flexible. These changes will also automate several items that are currently updated manually and generally enhance overall website use.

Your Board is arranging its official 2012 Board meeting to take place in the next several weeks, and we have a host of items on the agenda. These will include changes to consolidate and improve our Constitution and Bylaws, an updated plan for website development, review of all Association financial statements, approval of our annual operating budget, discussion on tax filings, discussion & forecast of future finances and dues, exploration of the 2012 Regatta and 2012 annual membership meeting, and more. 

This meeting will help us coordinate and lay out the plan for the association in the coming months and year(s), which we will share and continue to refine based upon ongoing input from our members. Part of that will be an update on what we've done with the website, and what you can expect to see in the future.

I appreciate Warren highlighting this, so we've had the opportunity to update everyone about what is happening.
