John,
Catalina is now using Charles Chargers. Mine came with a 5000SP--it's 30A.
You are correct, all power sources should be fused--technically within 7" of
the source. The one source that is always a point of 'discussion' is the
alternator. Since you have a charging source from both ends, the alternator
and the battery it is connected to...I had to go in and add all of my own
fusing, which I was a bit disappointed in. The way most boat builders get
away with this as far as ABYC is concerned, is by using cable conduits...

Hey Jon; What sort of charger is on your new boat, I believe all chargers
recommend some sort of fusing? I'll get those MRBF fuses.
