Bob and Barb,
We have a small Garmin (700 series I think) and it has worked well for us.  Got
this model because the antenna was built it and we didn't have to try to snake
yet another cable down the binnacle rail.
Be sure to check Defender Marine for pricing, they always beat WM by a mile.
Going to try something different this next season.  Santa brought me an iPad for
Christmas (didn't think I was that good all year ?).  I've bought the iNavX
chart pack software and will get a wireless GPS antenna, plus an Griffin Armored
iPad case, plus a rail-mounted iPad holder and I'll have a 10" chart-plotter for
under $225.

Subject: [C320-list] chart plotter

Hi, group,

Sailing Charlotte Harbor is not like sailing Carlyle Lake in west central
Illinois.  A chartplotter would be nice....

We have looked at the Garmin 4210 at WM, but always like to check the
competition.  They don't seem to have much competition on this unit.  I
understand WM will match competitors prices.  Any suggestions?  Maybe a
different unit?  Different supplier?  We do have the Raymarine st60 (I think
that's what is is on a 2008 320) stuff on the boat.  We would love to hear from
you.  Thanks and Happy New Year!!
