Danny,
I did this last year. For me, $200 is a no-brainer if you can change a
flat tire and if changing the drum is all the rigger is going to do -
more on that later.

1. Instructions come with the furler and they are pretty decent.
2. An extra set of hands to hand you tools and to help with the weight
of the foil makes this a 1 hour job - tops. A pro rigger ought to be
able to do it 30 minutes if you remove the sail.
3. The trickiest part of the job is removing the screws and cotter
pins while laying out on the bow on your belly and not dropping any
parts or tools overboard. Go slow, pay attention to what you are
doing, maintain a death grip and all will go well.
4. The foil is heavy...surprisingly so. It has to be lifted up the
stay and up off of the drum to do the job. Tie one halyard with a
rolling hitch to to the foil to ease the weight.
5. The forestay has to be disconnected to remove and re-install the
drum. Use another halyard as a temporary stay by running it through
the bow cleats and back to itself, then winch tight. Be sure to mark
the threads on both ends of the turnbuckle with a Sharpie and count
the turns when loosening the stay so that you can retightnen it to the
existing tension. If you get the correct Loos guage from the
association toolbox, this would be a good time to tension the rigging
properly...

If your rigger is planning on checking and properly tensioning your
rig as part of the job, it will take 2-3 hours and would be well worth
paying $200 for the job.
