You can access the area around the anchor locker by removing the panel under the shelf in the forward cabin. You can access the windless from there and also a leaking washdown fitting. I havent looked to see whether or not you can access the pulpit mountings from there or not but removing the panel is easy. As an aside the awful smell I thought was coming from the holding tank area and moving forward was actually from rotten smelly water in the washdown tubing and some that had migrated under the forward water tank from the leak.

Does anyone know how to remove the pulpit?
Mine has been bent and there appears to be no access in the chain locker.
I have heard that they can be simply unscrewed from the deck and that there
are no nuts to remove from below ???
Before I try this I would like to be sure that I am not going to lose bits
forever in the depths of the bow.
