[C320-list] compass fluid leak

Had the same issue, twice on another boat.  The back of the compass has a "rubber" enclosure. I am not sure what the materiel is. The purpose is to allow for the fluid in the compass  expanding and contracting during temperature changes. After some time the "rubber" gets brittle and leaks. Had the local instrumentation guys replace the "rubber" and fill with fluid. About $100 ea.  1994 compass? Good Luck on the warranty, 18 years is a long time.
