[C320-list] Can't get Wheel Off

Shouldn't need enough heat to make a difference in expansion or contraction. Just enough to soften hardened grease if that's what is holding it on (It actually on car hubs can make it almost impossible to remove the wheel. Not sure if the same holds true for this wheel with only a keyway.) I have removed my wheel many times (and put it on a holder on the Bimini top) to free up cockpit space when at the dock. It usually slides right off.

Jim,  Did you mean "apply heat to the wheel hub" so it would expand away from the shaft OD?

I'd try a little heat on the shaft (hair dryer or heat gun on low). I have a
couple of old cars with splined hubs and when it's cold the grease hardens
making it hard to get the wheels off. I know the wheel has grease on the shaft
since I've spread it all over after removing the wheel. I also have to rock mine
a little before it slides off. Just a thought.

I have to wiggle mine around quite a bit while pulling aft but it does come
off.  The rudder should be amidships so that the key does not fall out when
the wheel comes off.

I can't get the wheel off.   The nut came off with no issue.
