[C320-list] Shower pump

It is supposed to be self priming but it just did not happen from dry in
hull 925. Once water had been put in it would pick up till it dried out
again, usually over the winter on blocks. I am sure that theory would say
it should self prime from dry but it would not. I have no idea why putting
water in worked. My suggestion is simply what worked for me. Pragmatism
ruled as I would rather be sailing than fixing given our short season.

Hope it helps

Thought it was self priming?
Ok will try the hose prime method... And get an O- ring in sthe very clean
strainer . like i said have blown into it and out the discharge side both
seem air tight.stainer and flow when cock open, checked the mini duck valves
too in med cabinet.....frustrated but good at getting it in and out under
tight sink space lol. Wish they had an electric quick release on the pump
wires. May add that too.

Hi

On Hull 925 when I owned it, I had to clean the filter and prime at the
beginning of each season by setting the valve to the shower drain position
and then pushing a hose onto the shower drain and forcing water up to the
pump as it would not self prime. Once it had been primed at the beginning
of the season it seemed to hold the prime till the fall haul out. If it
stopped working I just repeated.

At the risk of stating the obvious, I assume you have the sink head inlet
open, as I believe it is also the shower outlet . Also the Y valve dictates
whether you pump the fridge or shower sump.

Shower/fridge pump not sucking. Checked all the hoses. Blowing and sucking.
Took the Jabasco apart now 4 times and still now success. Motor works &
it's clean so I'm lost. Think some aquarium pumps would work better than
this thing.... Arghhh I read previous posts but believe its the pump but
all the valves and diaphragms check out like new. Suggestions?
