Why use SS in aluminum? Wouldn't aluminum screws be the better choice?

I installed my eye strap and small block with two SS tapped screws to the
underside of the aluminum spreader. I did not want to drill one larger hole
through the entire spreader tip and bottom. We have a flag off of one and
our Davis radar reflector off of the other one. Plenty of capacity without
placing an eyebolt through the spreader top and bottom.

courtesy flag and the other for a radar reflector. One burgee halyard came
with the boat from the factory, the other I installed. Both with eye straps
tapped and screwed into the underside of the lower spreader with small
blocks integrally attached to the eye strap. I used ss screws tapped into
the underside of the lower aluminum spreader. I coated the threads with
Lanocote to help prevent eletrolosis between the ss screws and the tapped
holes in the aluminum spreader. I also used nonconductive nylon washers
between the eyestrap and the aluminum spreader. The factory installed
eyestrap and block are attached to the spreader with ss rivets.
