[C320-list] Sticky Sliding Hatch

I have the same issue with hull 980 and have not found a simple solution, but I am open to suggestions.

I have a 2004 320, Hull #999.  The sliding hatch sticks in the closed position and sometimes it can be very difficult to get open from inside the cabin.  The teflon tape is in great shape.  It seems to wedge itself when in the closed position.  It looks like the only way to seriously investigate/correct this is to remove the seahood and hatch.  Has anyone had this problem or experience with removing the seahood and resealing?
