[C320-list] halyard/topping lift

Probably no problem, just be careful not to cross the lines such that they
chafe on each other or other halyards inside the mast. The masthead is built
for two jib halyards and two wing halyards exiting the front of the masthead
and both the main halyard and topping lift exiting the aft side of the
masthead. I think the boats are usually delivered with one jib, one wing,
one main and one topping lift installed. I have two jib halyards and two
wing halyards on mine, but I skipped the topping lift altogether, because I
didn't want the Dutchman system. I recently switched the two spinnaker
halyards inside the mast so the port halyard comes out of and can then be
jumped from the starboard side of the mast and vice versa. Take a look at
the diagrams in the handbook at the link below, for a better understanding
of what happens to the lines when they enter the mast at the masthead.

Does anyone see any problem switching the spare jib halyard with the topping
lift? I need my topping lift led back to the cockpit but I don't need the
extra halyard and I don't have a spare turning block and rope clutch on the
starboard side of the mast. It seems to me the easiest thing to do is switch
the two and have the topping lift on the port side led aft to the cockpit.
