Marko,
I used trailer light connectors and solder with success with winds of
electrical tape to create a water tight seal that can easily be removed when
taking down the mast.

When I unstepped my mast (deck stepped) in the fall I had no choice but to
cut the wind cable. In order to reconnect this spring I am looking for a
connector that will work on a 22 gauge wire. There are 4 lead wires. Marine
store recommended that I try a phone jack connection.
