[C320-list] water heater

 Don,
I found the red button and pressed it. Still no hot water. I tried to find the outside end of the heating element to remove it. It is not visible where the wires head into the heater. I started to remove the heater but discovered that there is a retaining bracked on the back (side nearest hull) that I can only feel, not see. There are also hoses connected to the back (I assume from the engine) that I also cannot see. Any suggestions?

Thanx

Remove the access panel on the front of the heater. Under the panel is a red
reset button for the high temp limit breaker. Push to reset.

In my case, this did not work...needed to replace the heating element. You can
order an element specific for this unit or just buy a 1000 (or was it 1200?)
watt unit at Home Depot for $9.95.

After some mental trouble shooting, I remembered that I by-passed the water
heater for winterization and I hadn't reconnected it. So the heating element in
the heater was heating air-not water. I don't think it liked heating air because
once I plumbed the heater back in and it filled with water, still no hot water.

tripping safety feature that needs to be reset? The breaker on the panel did
not trip.
