take the pump handle out and try priming the pump with water and make 
certain that the inlet valve in the hull is open.

Just launched "Little Wing" on beautiful Cayuga Lake.  Having a few 
commissioning issues.
The head will not pump fresh lake water into the bowl to help with flushing. 
I've tried "head conditioning"
liquid from West Marine, with little success.  Pump handle just goes up and 
down, with no resistance.
Any guidance on troubleshooting this critical problem?
