[C320-list] Anti-fouling question

I don't use the speedo; gunks up too quickly on the Chesapeake.  I put 3
coats on the bottom, including the depth sounder, every 3 years.  When I
leave the yard, the depth sounder does not read for maybe 20 minutes or so
then all is OK.

Should I put anti-fouling paint on the bottom of the depth and speed
devices?  Will it effect their performance?
