I use my AFT CLEATS with a block attached to the cleat and a bit of lashing to position it on the AFT rail..
Also have what we call a Barber Hauler mid-ships through Stanchion Plate.
Works fine....
Will send pictures if you send me your personal email address if you want?
Please advise

Don't drill into your aft deck.  Try using your aft cleats.

I use Harken Carbo blocks on spectra loups that temporarily attach to each of my aft cleats for my asymmetrical spinnaker.  I just loup the spectra loups through the aft cleats to secure them to the boat.  I bungee these off of the deck with small  bungies with a plastic hook around the mid rail on our stern pulpit.  This setup works great.  I only deploy these blocks when we use our spinnaker and just stow them with the sail so not to misplace or lose them.

No drilled pad eyes on deck.
