You'd have to consult your Yanmar manual; but, for we with Perkins M30 the
engine cooling system holds 4L (135USoz, 1.05USgal) not including the hoses
to the water heater and the coil of the heater itself. As long as the stuff
I take out looks rather much like the new stuff, I figure I'm in good shape.
20 years and 2,000 hours, knock on wood.

I typically drain off about 1/2 gal. of AF each year and replace with new
AF. I wonder if this is an effective procedure. Anyone have a clue?
