[C320-list] Yanmar trouble

Have you sampled the fuel? Could be dirty or have water in it. Even a small amount of white smoke can indicate water. Also check the filters. It sounds like you have not air locked but you may want to check the actual fuel level. My guage is not to be trusted below halfway between half and quarter full. It dives to nothing really fast.

No wind in Cape Cod bay so we have to motor all day. The fuel Gauge reads just over 1/4 tank and suddenly the rpm's drop. They go up and down a bit until the engine finally stalls out. After a few minutes wait, I restart her and she runs for a few minutes at lower rpm's then dies again.

Any thoughts for trouble shooting? Tow Boat US is going to be expensive!
