[C320-list] 2014 Rendezvous Announcement - Action required - Respond interested or not

Would be the last stop for me if coming from the north! Solomons is a full day sail from HHS. And if you want to go into the bug-infested Little Choptank in August, have at it! But come August on the Bay, I need my A/C.

For one or a few boats, Flag Harbor is also a usable marina with pool (great hurricane hole) and quite close to Solomons allowing an early arrival. John, the manager at Flag H is very accommodative. There has even been a loaner car available for shopping trips. Slaughter Cr. will add about 10nm to the trip.

For us above the Patapsco R., it is a two-day passage or one overnight. I'm, personally not crazy about doing an overnight, perhaps others are. Maybe we could have two flotillas: one 2-3 day cruise, one overnight. I have a roster of 320 from Allan Field and a list of other 320 from an previous C320 raft-up idea. I'll develop a new list from that and put it together.

The racing/cruising events are in prime Chesapeake waters: brown pelicans, eagles, great blue herons, ospray, egrets, crabs, stripped bass, maybe even spot a porpoise. There is Calvert Marine Museum that is great fun for kids and adults. Restaurants and night spots, too. More than enough to fill a long weekend.
