Bob,

I had a similar failure during my Bahamas trip. Voltmeter always
reading high, even 12+ when shut off.
Opened up the case and measured more like 12.6v at the back of the
meter. No adjustment possible.
Replacement can be purchased from from Dennis or Catalina Direct (same
price =$46+shipping).

I went with this digital gauge from eBay instead (for a third of the cost)....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAR-MOTOR-UNIVERSAL-2-52mm-BLUE-DIGITAL-LED-0-15V-VOLT-VOLTAGE-VOLTMETER-GAUGES-/271269637860?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f28ee2ee4&vxp=mtr

Looks "different" in the pod, but easier to read and more precise.
Accuracy seems OK as well.
Easy install.

BTW, our engine water temp gauge failed as well during the trip. Also
by reading high. Now that was a much bigger concern!!
Elaine and I will fill folks in on the details of that adventure at
the C320IA Rendezvous in 2 weeks!!
