[C320-list] Mainsail Upgrade for my c320

Dean,
My boat is a 98 and I replaced my main & jib about 2 years ago. I stayed with the full-batten main but changed the foot to a loose-footed setup. It's a great improvement for broad reaching and down wind.
I didn't go with the expensive Battcars I was thinking about and was really surprised at the ease of raising the new mainsail, just because of the new standard equipment. I was so use to old main and the old luff cars, I hadn't thought what an improvement the cars would make.

I was considering replacing it this year and when I mentioned it to a fellow sailor (Hunter owner), he said I should consider doing away with the full battened Main. Has anyone replace their Main with a more traditional, non-battened main?
