Hi Lou, Not thought about it but maybe wrap the drum in glued on thin rubber sheet and wrap with self amalgamating tape as a test.  Or maybe just the tape/

good thought. I am also considering wrapping the drum in heavy duty (exhaust , 
etc.) hose, chamfered at the ends and fixed with s.s. clamps. Any houghts on 
this approach?
