[C320-list] Hood furling system problem

Just went though this issue. It could be the angle your jib halyard makes as
it leaves the mast and attaches to the swivel. This angle must be at least 6
deg. or it will tend to wind around the furler when the jib is rolled. I
tried several things. Finally, what cured it is a halyard diverter attached
to the mast through which the halyard passes after leaving the mast head
sheave and creates the necessary angle that prevents the wrapping of the
halyard. The rigger went up the mast and installed the diverter. In total,
it took him less than an hour to do the job. Could this be the same problem
you are having?

I need some help here. My furling system keeps getting twisted at the top
where it's attached the the jib halyard. When we brought it down we noticed
the swivel part that attaches to the jib has about a 1/4" (6cm) gap all the
way around. It seems like it has way to much play in it. Is it possible
there was a sleeve on there that may have fallen out. Or perhaps the
previous owner put on one too big for the width of the system?
