When I received my new tank it came with the wrong sender.  I did not know
this until the gauge did not work correctly.  I pulled the sender out and it
was only about 5 inches long and should have been about 9.  It was only
measuring the top half of the tank.  My advice, pull the sender before
putting in the tank.
