[C320-list] Buck Algonquin vs. Catalina Direct Shaft Log Hose

Looking  for feedback on the best shaft log replacement hose. After 20
seasons of use I finally got around to replacing the shaft log hose. I
already removed the shaft coupler using a Buck Algonquin flange puller and
now need to purchase a replacement shaft log hose. I noticed that the Buck
Algonquin hose is much thicker than the shaft log hose sold by Catalina
Direct, while the prices are similar.  Is a thicker walled,  more robust
hose better or will it be too stiff for the hull's fiberglass shaft log?
