My 2007 C320 MK II has a plywood cored deck.
I found this when I rebedded the deck mounted shroud fittings. I sealed the plywood core edge with a penetrating epoxy before I rebedded the deck fittings. One of my fittings was leaking so I rebedded them all after my mast was unstepped for transport.
I would pay careful attention to deck mounted fittings to ensure that they are water tight.

I know of a 1996 Cat 42 that had very extensive water damage to the starboard deck core material. As owner of a 1999 boat should I be concerned?CheersJohnM1999#574
