[C320-list] Need advice--raw water anti-siphon valve

I have a 1994 C320 with a Perkins engine. The raw water anti-siphon valve is mounted in the engine compartment on the port side. As high as possible on the side of the fridge.

It should be easy to check if it's been moved. It needs to be in the raw water line between the raw water pump and the heat exchanger. When you remove the cap, if the siphon is broken, it's high enough.

I did have to replace the one way valve in the anti-siphon valve 10 years ago.

Subject: [C320-list] Need advice--raw water anti-siphon valve

I have a 1995 C320 with a Perkins engine. At some point in the past the raw water anti-siphon valve was removed. From the Catalina owner's manual it appears the valve was installed by the factory in the engine compartment on the port side. At that location it doesn't look like it would be much above the waterline, but I don't have an exact measurement. I am trying to find out if owner's of boats with Perkins engines have had problem with valve leakage or other issues and may have re-routed the valve to a new location, or perhaps abandoned it altogether. Please help...
Thanks. Dave
