[C320-list] Yanmar Sea Water Pump

The seawater pump is a Johnson anyway, not Yanmar. Get the cheaper pump, they'll end up being the same thing I think (don't hold me to it though). We replaced ours with a Johnson from our Yanmar dealer several years ago. Not a problem. Even if you have the Japanese Yanmar, the same (newer) model of pump that has the rubber O-Ring is the one to get now. Not the older model that used the paper gasket. Much more convenient since you rarely need to replace that O-Ring. Making it easier to inspect the impeller without needing to have new spare gaskets on hand.

My opinion, however.

Subject: [C320-list] Yanmar Sea Water Pump

My sea water pump (Yanmar 3GM30F) is leaking. I had it rebuilt 2 or 3 years ago and now I’d like to replace it. Anyone else do this lately? A quick online search shows prices ranging from about $300 for a replacement brand to almost $500 for a Yanmar pump. Is there a significant difference?
