[C320-list] Yanmar Sea Water Pump

FYI, I began to rebuild my raw water pump (1994 Perkins M30) only to realize I didn't have the tools or knowledge to complete it. I had it rebuilt by Depco Pump in (I think) Florida. They replaced all worn parts and painted it. It looked like a new pump, and no problems since. The cost was about $50 labor + parts, total maybe $130. Surely less expensive than a new pump. That said, it's not a bad idea to get a new pump and have the old rebuilt to keep as a spare.

We also have a 3GM30F. In 2008, I paid $165 for a new pump and filter from Bay Shore Marine in Annapolis. The pump part number was 128397-42500 and the filter 119305-35151. I am unsure if these are Yanmar or Bay Shore part numbers. Install was very easy.

My sea water pump (Yanmar 3GM30F) is leaking. I had it rebuilt 2 or 3 years ago and now I’d like to replace it. Anyone else do this lately? A quick online search shows prices ranging from about $300 for a replacement brand to almost $500 for a Yanmar pump. Is there a significant difference?
