[C320-list] Standing Rigging-Winter Layup

I believe the idea is to take the mast down every four or five years in order to check the shrouds, spreaders and mast sheaves. I know my plastic sheaves have been replaced once due to wear which means removing the mast plate at the top.  I know at least one non Catalina that had the shroud part at the point where it went thru the spreaders

Two years ago we had a local yard remove the mast and furler, store for the winter and reinstall in Spring. The checkbook balance shrunk about $700.00.  Been outdoors ever since.

The plus is $100 for roller furling, and other charges for special conditions. I've only done that once in 11 years. I believe I've heard of some yards that charge about half that. Anyone want to enlighten us?
