[C320-list] Changing fuel filter question

I am not sure how much room you have relative to my boat but I think I use
one of the devices for removing lids from bottles. It has a rubber strap
that encircles the filter and is attached to a handle to twist it off.

The question is: How the heck do you change it?

I have a '98 Mark1 with a Yanmar 3GM30. I successfully changed all but one
filter today (I know, I know - should have done it in the fall but life got
in the way)

My on engine fuel filter is almost directly in line with the bulkhead
separating the main and aft cabins. For the life of me I can't see how to
get a tool in there to loosen it.

All ideas and/or suggestions are welcome.
