[C320-list] Spring cleats

I mounted mid-ship cleats a few years ago. They are mounted on the top
of the gunnel, and that is a strong area with solid glass. You do have to
use a two hole cleat, and the largest that I could find was a Perko cleat,
model 1252DP0CHR. That's a chrome plated cleat about 6.5" long. It was a
little tight to get to the backing washers and bolts, but doable. I have
had no problems with anything snagging, and I really like a mid-ship cleat
that is clear of everything.

I saw 2 versions of a mid-ship cleat.?One version had it on the deck and the
other had it on the top of the gunnel (ridge above the rub rail).
I would prefer (but not wedded to) placing them on the gunnel. Does anybody
have pics or know if that is a possible retro-fit?? Can you get in there?
Not near the boat but wanted to ask. Might be a winter project this winter.
Thanks,
