[C320-list] Perkins oil change

I just replaced the oil on my Perkins M30, hull 205. I have one of
those vacuum cans with the small plastic tubing that gets inserted in
the dipstick tube. My engine also has an extension tube from low on the
starboard side of the oil pan with a small plug on the end. I get tired
of pulling the vacuum handle as the oil slowly gets sucked up this tiny
plastic tube, so I assembled a combination of plastic pipe fittings
coupled with a sump pump check valve that wedge into the vacuum can hole
where the pump handle tread's on. The end of the check valve is about
the same diameter as my small shop vac hose, so I simply use my shop vac
to supply the suction while i insert and withdraw the suction hose to
recover the bulk of the oil. Be sure the engine is up to operating
temperature before starting the process since the hot oil flows much
easier. You should be able to recover a full gallon after you add the
oil from the filter into your can.

I hope you can visualize ok.
