[C320-list] Flexofold 3-blade folding prop

Hello prop talk...
I recently purchased a 320 in Santa Barbara, Ca. and love the boat!! It came with a Gori 3 blade folding prop. On several occasions I have managed to get kelp wrapped around the prop which holds the prop in the folded position. The result is marginal forward thrust and no reverse. The fix involves a mask and a very cold swim. I'm thinking about going back to a fixed 3 blade prop...comments?
I also called Catalina and they recommended a 15"X11" 3 blade prop. My mechanic and the prop shop are recommending a 15"x10" 3 blade. The mechanic would like to have less torque and strain on the engine. The Gori is also a 15"x10".
Any comments?

Hi Bruce,

When I bought my 320 in 2006, under the advice from several "old Salt"
friends who owned the Max Prop. I followed their advice and replaced
my three blade with the Max Prop. I could not be happier with it, My
boat backs straight, stops when asked, and goes quickly when I ask. when
shutting down the engine after sails set, a simple shift to reverse, and
then back to neutral, will feather the prop so no prop drag or prop spin
in neutral. I would not have a different prop.
