[C320-list] Retrieve Reefing Line from Boom

I am hoping someone can help me.  Last fall when my wife and I were preparing to haul our 320 for the first time, she pulled on the Reefing line and the end went into the boom.  Has anyone ever had to retrieve the line from the boom and if so, any suggestions on how I can do this?
