[C320-list] ST60 wind direction calibration

I have an old Raymarine ST60 wind instrument that needs an adjustment in the wind direction reading to correct for a small error in the installation of the masthead arm that holds the vane and anemometer. The masthead instrument is new (model R28170) and appears to be operating properly. 
I can enter the calibration sequence and make the correction but the control unit on the binnacle will not save the correction. Is anyone aware of a work-around for this problem? Would appreciate your ideas.
