Thanks for all the responses. I checked and those replacements are $179 each. Not the pair... each. Way too much. Hand signals work well enough.
I also thought of getting a second hand held and "maybe" use headset if it has capability but... you need one hand to press to talk.
Not that big a deal. Was asking if there is a cheap method out there. In a blow it gets noisy. Hand signals don't need batteries.
Thanks,

Linda and I bought a set of "Marriage Saver" headsets many years ago and use them extensively when anchoring. We got them from Cruising Solutions but I see they are out of production. That's a shame as they work well and run off batteries that last all year. The replacement is a Bluetooth headset that ain't cheap - see http://cruisingsolutions.com/product/my-team-talks-bluetooth-headsets/ This one runs off a Lithium battery that will need recharging, which would be a showstopper for us.
I agree with another post that hand signals work well also! The only problem with that solution is remembering the signals from one time to the next.

I am looking into getting wireless headset intercoms so my wife and I can communicate (bow to stern).
What, if any, brands are people using out there? Thanks, Scott Westwood scottwestwood at bellsouth.net H (919)-362-8538 C (919)-618-7185
