[C320-list] Marelon seacock problem

Scott Thompson surprise at thompson87.com

Actually the one I have looks more like this...

https://www.fisheriessupply.com/forespar-marelon-full-flow-seacock-flush-thru-hull-x-ball-valve-x-hose-barb-oem-932143

In particular, mine has a straight-through hose barb and a flush (not
mushroom) thruhull. (The latter probably doesn't matter for this
project.) The main uncertainty I have is about the size. I called
Catalina today and they said it could be one of several different sizes.
Catalina Direct also had no idea as to the correct size. The boat is on
a mooring and I can't get out to her for a few days so will hope for the
best. In the meantime I'm guessing that 3/4" is the right size based on
email from David Prudden this morning.

The boat was just launched 10 days ago so the bottom should be in pretty
good shape. I don't need a perfect seal -- just enough to let me do the
installation.

Seabung comes in a package of two different sizes and they say that the
smaller one is good for a 3/4" thruhull. We will see! It's expensive but
cheaper than a diver and the water is still pretty cold so I'm not keen
about going overboard myself.
