[C320-list] Winterizing

Jerry - Your 2 areas of biggest vulnerability probably will be your cockpit shower and an anchor washdown system if one is installed. Any water in the A/C system likely will freeze at the outlet also but in my case several years ago, nothing cracked or broke and it thawed pretty quickly when the sun came out and the temps went up again. Everything else is below the waterline and probably will be OK but like Chris says, no guarantees. I went down to my boat today, turned the A/C heat up to 74 degrees (going down to 20 here tonight), took the hose out of the washdown system, and put a high-intensity shop light in the locker where the cockpit shower is. I also drained the water hose from the dock and put that away for the winter as the marina turned off the water today. I'll go back down tomorrow to ensure all this worked... I am thinking we still have a few weeks of sailing left mid-Bay (Herrington Harbour South)!

No one can prudently tell you it’s safe. Several of us in this region can tell you it has happened to us without incident.
