[C320-list] Transmission linkage - reverse

Hi Michael,

It the physical control on the transmission works properly, it could just be a matter of adjustment to the cable, or in extreme cases, you may need to replace the cable.  

The only cable I have ever done was on my prior boat, a C&C 29.   In that particular instance, the cable had stretched, and would no longer control the transmission throw correctly.

I replaced that and it went back into working order.

Good luck, fishing cables is NO fun…….  ☹

I’ve been having trouble with my transmission not going into reverse consistently. The clutch lever at the helm is all the way back but the transmission is not in reverse. If I go down below, I can easily push the gear lever on the transmission a little more forward and reverse engages. Is it a matter of simply adjusting the nut on the cable at the transmission?
