[C320-list] Dinghy Davits

Scott,
I'm very close to pulling the trigger on dinghy davits myself, having homed
in on Gauher from past reviews here and considering Gauher's price compared
to others.

I'm looking at davits primarily for solar panel installation.  That said,
the only strike I have against Gauher's model is they won't customize the
davits, and I desire the vertical davit arms to be a slightly longer so
head will clear mounted solar panels when crossing the swim platform
through the transom.  However I think I can account for this through the
panel mounts.

I'm curious as what you see as the cons for davits.  Main thing I've read
is the weight can submerge the platform, aiding to muck build up on the top
side of the platform.  Since I don't plan on raising a dinghy on the
davits, I don't think this will be an issue for me.
